1" Cork Bottom Boards

Hollowing your decoys? Need a taller block? Get a bottom board!

Our 1" cork bottom board material is the perfect and super convenient way to expand on your decoy carving arsenal. There is a common misconception among decoy carvers that cork is not durable/sturdy enough to be bottom board material. That is just plain false! 1" cork is plenty sturdy enough to hold screws and add support to your decoy. Our cork bottom boards are planed to be perfectly flat and smooth on both sides.

How long of a bottom board do you need? Your bottom board doesn't need to be the entire length of your pattern. It only needs to extend for the tip of the front of the breast back to around were the rump starts to slope up towards the tail. 

Note: When hollowing your cork decoy, leave a 1" shell of cork around the outside. This will give your decoy all the support it needs.
